Yuxi Zhao is a junior at Wheaton College in Illinois, studying Environmental Science with a concentration in Biology.

Yuxi believes that creation care is an integral part of her Christian faith, and climate change action specifically addresses issues of injustice.  She is heavily involved in Wheaton A Rocha, the only college chapter of the international Christian conservation organization, A Rocha. She works with fellow A Rocha members to bring awareness and action to environmental problems and solutions on Wheaton’s campus. She is an (amateur) birdwatcher who hails from the great city of Philadelphia. Yuxi was born in Hangzhou, China and spent a portion of her childhood in Sendai, Japan, where she was impressed at a young age by their deep commitment to sustainable living. She loves birds, books, trying new foods, and exploring.
